Nissan Repair: Altima Trip Computer, full tank, filter change

I put gas in my '06 Altima and the gauge and trip computer (Distance To Empty) disagree.  The fuel (red pointer) gauge shows I have a full tank but the DTE  reads about 45 miles less. The milage seems correct though.   I have only had one repair--an oil and filter change that I can think of the day before.  Any advice?  Thanks.

The sending unit is the usual suspect in this instance.  If you disconnect the battery for five minutes and then reset everything you might get lucky.  But, if that does not do the trick you are probably looking at a sending unit.  It is about a fifty/fifty toss up between disconnecting the battery and the sending unit.  Email me back and let me know how it goes.
