Nissan Repair: 2000 nissan maxima problems, bosch platinum, nissan maxima

what would make my car skip and putter even after a tune up. sometimes it stops but only for a short while. I had it hooked up to a machine and it said ignition misfire and something dealing with the 3rd cylinder.

I have a 2000 Maxima SE and the coils were a technical service bulletin way back when.  Anyway, go to rockauto.com and purchase all six and replace them and your car will run like a top.  I did the replace one at a time until I got to the third one and just bought the rest.  The dealer will charge a good bit so courtesynissan.com or rockauto.com are both cheap sources for good factory parts.  Oh, if you used Bosch plugs get different ones like Nippondenso or NGK.  The Bosch platinum fail shortly after installation.  Within twenty-thousand miles so skip them now and in the future.
