Nissan Repair: clutch paddle drops to the floor, clutch master cylinder, generic instructions

Question
I have replaced the slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder, bled the system for thirty minutes, but I still can't get a paddle. The vehicle was driving great. I parked it, got back in it,and I no longer had a paddle. what should I do?

Answer
Hi Geroy -

First of all, did you bench bleed the master? To check the system, first remove the line going to the master cylinder. Have someone depress the pedal and note if you see fluid coming out at high pressure. If so, then re-connect the line, and do the same for the slave cylinder. There should be equal amounts of pressure when you check the slave as well. If there is nor pressure, replace the component, as it is defective. Also check the fork that the slave rests against. If there is excessive play, then you may be looking at a new clutch.

Let me know - I did not get your vehicle info, so I can only give you generic instructions.
