Question
QUESTION: I have a 1994(J30) model. The alarm/immobilizer start flickering as if a loose connection is causing it. It Normally happened while driving cutting the engine causing some close calls. I bypassed it using the little tag that inserts under neath the steering column. For a while now it worked great but since yesterday the flickering started again while bypassed. The immobilizer actually cut the engine while driving and I had to get off the road. I need to know how can I hard wire bypass the system because spending money on a new system is not a option.

ANSWER: Gerhard,

Find the ignition circuit wire under the dash, under the steering wheel, and remove it and solder the original wires back together.

QUESTION: Hi, Im a bit confused. Dont understand what is meant with ign cir wire. In any case-I stripped the dash and located the alarm reciever(pic ) in front of gear lever which seem to give a signal to the computer where a relay energize and the vehicle start. Please let me know what to do.

Answer
Gerhard,

OK, my bad!  I thought you were talking about an aftermarket alarm.  The factory alarm module has a loose ground or the harness is loose.  Lastly, the control module itself is defective.  You will need to do as I said before.  But, you will need to find the ignition wire that feeds into the alarm box and where it comes out on the engine side and cut and splice these two wires together.  I will look for a schematic for you but do not have one presently.  If you have a Haynes Manual for your car the schematic is in the back of the book.  Look for the alarm receiver box and do as I say on sourcing the ignition power feed wire to the box and out the other side.  Source these two wires and splice them together.

Gerhard,

This is what Nico Club says in one of their posts.

There's a orage wire underneath the Driver side dash that is attached to the Theft warning module (I beleive it's a silver box underneath the dash). Ground that orange wire and you will see your security light shut off instead of flashing. If the light continues to flash then you either didnt' ground it properly or you have the wrong wire.
