QUESTION: hi, whenever my car comes to a complete stop, the car kicks. there's no problem while it's in motion, it's only when it is at a complete stop. today at a red light, the card kept kicking until it died. i threw it in park, turned on the ignition and it was fine. any ideas?

Need to know if the engine misses (kicks) at a steady pace, or is it irregular? If you place it in neutral and rev the motor, is it OK then, or does it still miss at higher RPM's?

I am thinking perhaps it is a vaccuum leak somewhere, but need this info from you -

Hi John -

First of all I would tune the car up. When was the last time you had one?

Spark PLugs
Ignition wires
Distributor cap
Rotor

Replace all those, and get back to me. Also while in the engine, look for any vaccuum leaks (loose or broken hoses). When you pull the plugs, see what color the electrodes are and get back to me -
