Nissan Repair: crank no start, nissan sentra, sensor wires

Question
Hey, I have a 96 nissan sentra 1.6l. vehicle had battery light on, and i had the alt replaced. Then after that drove my vehicle home and noticed that my buddy didnt install the pass side cooling fan. I tried to force it down there, I may have poked some wires cause I noticed a bunch of sparks, then tried to start it after that and it would not start, just crank. I checked spark and fuel at fuel rail is ok, no bad fuses, what should I start to look in to next, I noticed 2 little wires out of the alt I cut, then I crimped them back together and o2 sensor wires also on manifold were pierced, not broken. Still, no burnt fuses. Where do I look next, possible pcm?

Answer
Brian,

The positive side of the battery has fuse links and some fuses where it connects to the battery.  Check there to make sure you do not have any that are bad.  Otherwise, you are going to have to look at the fuel pressure to make sure the pump is getting power as well as the coil to see if you are getting spark.  I would check to see if the wires up front are all connected properly from where the cooling fan was.
