Question
when i am driving my car you can hear a scouring noise coming from the back left wheel i have changed the pads and disc and it is still making that noise. also there was allot of rust on the disc and it is starting to go on the new disc i have just fitted please help

Answer
Paula,

It sounds like the caliper is stuck.  I would remove the wheel and caliper and have someone press on the pedal to make sure the caliper extends properly.  Do not press too much, if the piston starts moving as it will pop out and that would require a rebuild of the caliper.  Also, check the slides the caliper move on.  If the caliper is stuck on the slide it will cause the brake not to apply on that wheel.h  The give away here is the rust.  If there is rust where the pads are supposed to touch then it is sticking and not doing its job at that wheel.  That would be the noise as it is just rubbing from time to time.
