Nissan Repair: 1991 Nissan Stanza, 1991 nissan stanza, nissan stanza

Question
I have a friend who owns a 1991 stanza and recently had a problem with the front brakes locking up so he took it to a mech shop and had the calipers, pads, and rotors replaced. Three days later the same problem has occurred. The question is what else should he start looking to fix/replace?

Answer
Hi Trevor -

Are both left and right side freezing up?

Could be a defective proportioning valve. With the brakes locked up, loosen the bleeder valve on the caliper (should be on the upper part of the caliper). If there is pressure(brake fluid spews out), then the valve could be malfunctioning. If there is no pressure, then check the calipers again.

Hope this helps -
