Nissan Repair: 91 max tail lights, and dash lights no go., vehicle speed sensor, temp gauge

my tail lights are not working.  the brake lights work, but no tail lights.  also no dash lights.  the temp gauge that tells me how hot or cold the car is doesnt work.  the rpm and mph speedometer works sometimes, and other times it doesnt.  checked all fuses and they are good.  help!

First, replace the headlight switch on the column.  The speedometer is probably the vehicle speed sensor.  If that does not do the trick replace the speedometer.  A wrecking yard cluster is probably the cheapest route rather than getting yours rebuilt.
