Answer
Hi Justin -

Assuming that the gear is in Park (sorry, had to check!), please do the following:

Turn your headlights on and try to start the car. If the headlights dim or suddenly go out, check the battery or battery connections. If the lights stay strong, then check your starter. The easiest way to see if it is the starter is to get a hammer and tap the starter while someone tries to start it. A lot of times carbon gets into the brushes and the tapping shakes it loose. The car will start for a few more times, but you should have it replaced. If that does not work, then you must get a circuit light tester (12V). The starter has 2 wires, one small one and one large. While someone is trying to start the car, check voltage at the small wire. the light should go on. If it does, then replace the starter. If it does not, then it could be the ignition switch on the steering column. The large wire to the starter should always have voltage.

Hope this helps to find you problem -
