Nissan Repair: 2004 Sentra air cond. problems, nissan sentra, air cond

My 2004 Nissan Sentra's air conditioning system sometimes goes off for no reason.  It seems it usually quits working when I'm idling. And then it seems to start back up on its own.  However I do turn the A/C switch off and on, etc. to try to get it to come back on.

Hi Philip -

Looks like it is short cycling. Either you are low on freon, or the system has blockage, and it shuts off due to high pressure limit. Obviously, the latter requires some diagnostic work, so i would take it to your repair shop and have it checked. Have the gauges put on and high and low pressures checked.
