Nissan Repair: 93 altima wont shut off., hanes manuel, resister

Question
My daughters 93 lima won't shut off. I suspected the ign switch, but unplugging it doesn't turn the engine off. Currently we turn it off by battery disconnect. I have a Hanes Manuel and have tested some of the parts and relays (the ones I can identify) and they seem fine. Voltage where it should be, and continuity where it should be. They mention an ignition resister but I can't find it. Any ideas?

Answer
Lindz's dad,

The ignition relay is most probably staying on since unplugging the ignition switch is not working.  I would open the hood and locate the ignition relay in the black box.  It should be marked and it should be a matter of replacement.  The resistor would not do what you describe so stick to looking at the ignition relay feed.
