Nissan Repair: 1988 Nissan pulsar NX - electrical/ignition, crank angle sensor, dashboard lights

Question
My car got flooded. It was in about a foot or so of water. I've let it dry out for about 5 days. When i connect the battery, the dashboard lights up as if the key is in and turned to the on position without the key being in. The car cranks so i believe the starter is ok but it won't start. Any ideas?

Answer
Danny,

How high up was the water in the vehicle?  If you had water in the car then you are going to have to disconnect the ECM and such and blow out the water from the connectors.  If you only had a foot and it was not over the door sill plates then you probably have to remove the starter and blow it out and do the same with the crank angle sensor harness.
