Nissan Repair: 2001 quest vcr removal., metal bracket, vcr

Question
The vcr removal lever broke on my van. I have unbolted the center console and am unable to free the vcr from the bracket. Do you have any tips for removing the vcr?

The metal bracket that holds the unit in has bolts on the side as well.  Check the assembly and you'll see what a strange mounting system they incorporate.  If it were me I would purchase the factory service manual for photographs.  The following is a pretty good Quest owners site to help you in the process...  http://questdriver.com/node/331
