AAmco diagnosed free and stated tranny needs rebuild $2800. just dont have it. buy a reman from tranzparts1 $1200 and they send correct looking tranny but wrong bell housing. my bell housing has crank sens a 5 wire harness the 1 sent had 4. Also torqu looks different. no refund policy. send my tranny and torque and they will rebuild and send bck asap.77days later i have tranny no torque.they have sent 2 bolt pattern 9 1/4" from center to center on two of the holes. flywheel hole are 9 3/4" inches apart.  i have no torque id # 20 spline but perhaps not the typical rea401a torqe. I think oem# is 31100-r50003 any assistance is appreciated. any idea what torque code may be or torque diameter as the only 11 5/8 torque i've seen had 24 splines

Answer
James,

If the torque converter fits the transmission get the flywheel that goes with it.  The wrecking yard should have the interchange.  But, when it comes to Japanese they change things all the time in production.  A proper bellhousing along with the flywheel that works with your torque converter is the best bet.  Getting an exact match is going to be difficult.  If you have a Nissan dealer with a parts guy that will look up the part for yours would be a good idea.  I cannot be of much help without the interchange book.
