Nissan Repair: 1994 nissan pathfinder fuel problems, nissan pathfinder, fuse box

I am working on a 94 Nissan pathfinder v6 automatic 4 wheel drive.I was driving down the road and it died.Put a new fuel pump in it but  fuel pump will not run.Any suggestions. thanks JEff

Hi Jeff -

First of all, please check to see if power is going to the fuel pump. Use a 12V light circuit tester and connect it to the "hot" terminal, or wire that goes to the fuel pump. Have someone turn the ignition key on and check for power. If there is, then you might have a defective pump. If there is no power, then check your fuel pump fuse and related connections. You may check the fuse the same way as the wire. Don't forget the fuse box in the engine compartment near the battery.
