how can i locate and change the vehicle speed sensor in a 95 nissan p/u.

The VSS is located in the tailshaft of the transmission.  Replacement is just a matter of purchasing a new one and removing and installing the new one.  Check the new part and you will know what you are looking for.  There is one bolt holding it on and then it unplugs.  You will loose some fluid so have the new one ready to plug in and then bolt it in place and plug in the connector.
