Nissan Repair: Hose connections, air flow meter, haynes manual

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1986.5 D21-Z24 Nissan truck, it has in the air filter box a sticker with the  instructions for five hose connection but only five color circles as follows: blue, none, yellow, green and white. What hose do I have to connect on each color?

ANSWER: Robert,

Not trying to be a bonehead but I need more information.  If you are talking about the vacuum routing of the engine they are marked by the colors as indicated on the sticker.  The hoses are marked too.  It is just a matter of matching up the hoses.  Now, if your hoses have been replaced with hose thats not marked it is a problem.  I would get a Haynes Manual for the diagrams.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: The hoses are not marked.
I have a hose from A.B. valve, one from vacuum switch, one from the throttle body under the air flow meter, one from the t.v.v. and two from a valve in the intake manifold.
I think I have the work done but I'm not sure about the hose comming from the throttle body.

Answer
Robert,

If your vacuum diagram is missing or the hoses have been changed you are going to need a diagram that shows which hose goes to each device and port.  I would go to the library and see if you can source the information from a Chilton or Haynes manual.  If not, you are going to need a factory service manual or find another truck like your to duplicate.
