Nissan Repair: Wierd igniton problem with 1996 200sx, mass airflow sensor, volt ohm meter

Question
Ok heres the weirdest problem i have ever run into.Recently my car began to run wierd.Well the car runs fine until it warms up to operating temp. Then it begins to break up little bit just a blurp in the idle every once and a while. So we changed the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, and fuel filter with all OEM Nissan stuff.Didnt do anything so i put 3 different distributors in it all which where known to be in good working order. Also didn't fix it.Check all grounds, vacuum lines,ER,everything. The weird thing is it idle perfect except for a little blip here and there. When you go to drive it,it will break up like it has a 2 step ignition cut until you back off the throttle to about 18% or lower load then it runs smooth as butter. No codes stored, everything on the consult looks in check. The car is a 1996 200sx with a ga16de motor manual trans.I work at a Nissan dealership and the technicians i talked all say distributor but i replaced it with 3 good ones and same problem. So now i am baffled and so are they.

Answer
Lance,

Check the mass airflow sensor and replace it if it is out of range on the digital volt/ohm meter.  I know it sounds strange but even though there are no codes for some reason it causes the problems you describe.  Check it out and verify before you replace.  But, that would be my guess.
