Nissan Repair: tranmission 1995 pantfinder, ooo miles, low gears

My tranmission is slipping in low gears loseing power.It has 150.ooo miles no tranmission filter never been chaanged. Would it help if i changed the filter and lucus tranmission repair in it?

Hi Gerald -

You should change the filter and oil in your transmission, and put an additive in. Carquest sells this phenomenal additive called AT205 that my customers have great results with. On one vehicle, it even cured a "no shift" condition. If you cannot find it, let me know.

If replacing the oil and filter does not help, it is time for an overhaul.
