Nissan Repair: clutch, nissan 100nx, clutch cable

Question
how do you change a clutch cable on a nissan 100nx

Answer
Katie,

The process to change the clutch cable is pretty simple.  You can approach it from either end.  Get under the car and remove the retainer clip on the cable bracket and disconnect the end of the cable.  Also, if yours has one, disconnect the attach point on the fire wall.  Some are just sitting against the firewall with an interference fit.  Now, under the dash do the same thing.  It is a little more difficult under the dash since you have little room.  Then, press the pedal down to get the end of the cable off the actuator.  Installing the new one is pretty much the same.  I like to install the part under the dash first and then install the other end on the clutch release fork arm.
