my engine stalls at stop lights or at idle

I need to know the model and year to figure out if it is fuel injected or carburetor equipped.  Anyway, for the car to die at idle the first thing to look at is if it has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.  If these are good then look at the mass airflow sensor and the idle air control valve.  If it is a carburetor engine look at the power valve.
