Question
How do I fix this? The belt broke today and I do not know how to fix this, my garage smells like a bunch of burnt car crap!!!
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Sarah,

The belts are accessed from the passenger side.  Jack up the front passenger side and put a safety stand under the car and remove the wheel.  Remove the inner fender.  This is a black plastic rain guard that keeps rod debris off the engine.  Now, you can see the belts and pulleys.  Purchase two new belts for your car.  On the airconditioner you will need to loosen the pulley and then the long bolt, accessed from the top to loosen the tension.  Remove the debris of the old belt and replace it with the new one.  But, you will need to replace the power steering belt first.  To get this belt off loosen the adjustment bolt and the pivot bolt for the pump and then loosen the adjsutment bolt until tension is released.  The power steering is a pain since you have to get under the car to get to the back bolt.  Install the new belts and tighten them up and then lock the units in place with the center bolt for the first adjustment pulley and then tighten the power steering adjustment bolt and then tighten the pivot bolt and the one at the radius.  I would purchase a Haynes Manual for the pictures as it makes it much easier to understand.
