Nissan Repair: Turn signals?, emergency flasher, light flash

I have a 1994 Nissan Pick-up. I am having problems with my turn signals. When I indicate a turn both turn signals come on and all the signals begin to blink. I purchased a new switch and flasher. The new switch didn't do anything at all so i returned it. The flasher hasn't helped either. I am not sure what to do next. I don't want to take it to a shop unless I really need to. Can you help me?

When the turn signal indicator runs all the light flash it usually means that the emergency flasher is shorted and allowing all power to feed to all lights.  I would check the flasher since you say the turn signal indicator replacement did not correct the problem.
