Nissan Repair: 91 Maxima Power Windows, 3 quarters, motor assembly

Question
I recently replaced the driver's side front power window motor and actuator with a brand new motor and actuator. The installation went by the book, however now when i roll the window down and then back up again 3 quarters of the time it will not roll up the last two or so inches.  It appears to have full power up until that point and the rest of the time functions totally smoothly. What could be causing this?

Answer
Michael,

I would check the window track to make sure it is not binding.  Also, lubricate all the pivot points and the motor.  Sometimes the motor will bind on the tracks where the glass goes up.  I would run the window down and Armor All the tracks and disconnect the window and run it up byu hand and see if it hangs.  If it does you have found the place where it sticks.  Now, lubricate and free the bind.  If it does not run the motor without the window from full down to full up and see what it sticking on the assembly.  There is not much adjustment provided for the motor assembly so it could be bent.
