my gauges don't show anything on them the lighting for the lettering works. how do i fix them

There are two things that can be wrong with the system.  The first is the connector that the cluster plugs into.  This can be dirty and need cleaning.  Use a number 2 pencil eraser and lightly brush the contacts on both the harness and the connector on the cluster.  If this does not solve the problem then the cluster will have to be repaired or replaced.  There are speciality shops but a wrecking yard unit is a cheaper alternative.
