Nissan Repair: power steering pump, power steering pump, power steering system

The P/S fluid is very dark in color and has an burnt smell and there's a whinnying noise.I drained fluid and replaced with in 5 min's. it was dark again. How difficult is it to P/S pump and do think that's the problem

It would take several times to get all the burnt fluid out of the power steering system.  The noise you have is the pump and to change it is just a matter of taking the old one off and installing the new one.  I would drain and fill the fluid two more times before replacement of the pump to eliminate the possibility of contaminating the new pump.
