Nissan Repair: bucking car, air control valve, nissan sunny

Question
hi i have a nissan sunny 1.6 engine 75,000km on it but lately in the morning or if i park the car for the day it would start on a dime but when i put it in reverse the car would seriously buck for like 5sec and the idling would drop today it did that and the car actually cut off but it would only do that when it is put in reverse it would not buck or anything after i would like to know what could be causing that problem and what could i do to remedy that

Answer
Gary,

I would look at the idle air control valve first and the throttle plate to make sure it is not gummed up.  There is a given setting from the manifold absolute pressure sensor that determines idle regardless of park or drive.  The computer attempts to keep the idle steady.  If the idle air control valve is gummed up or the throttle plate is dirty the idle will not compensate quickly enough and you will get a rough idle.  This is what I would check and clean first.  No need for adjustment as it probably only needs cleaning with as few km as you have on it.
