Nissan Repair: P1705 Nissan Pathfinder 2000 error code, throttle position sensor, nissan pathfinder 2000

Question
I completely drained my ATF to replace with new since it's been a year and milleage is at 145K. It now takes a longer time to change gear (I use auto tranmission) and with does that with loads of engine stress. I also changed my spark plugs to new platinum ones

Answer
When changing any transmission fluids be sure to use the factory spec fluids. The code you have set is a throttle position sensor code. This code has nothing to do with your fluid change. I suggest that you take your truck to the dealer to have this checked. There is a special way to calibrate this sensor using a Nissan scan tool. As far as the spark plugs go if you used a Nissan plugs, or NGK brand those are OK if you used anything else take them out!! They will cause nothing but problems to your ignition system. Lastly for this code make sure you did leave anything disconnected by the throttle body. That is where the throttle position sensor is located.
