Nissan Repair: morning rough idle, nissan sentra xe, nissan sentra

I have a 2000 nissan sentra xe. After sitting overnight when I start up my car in the morning it starts rough although the engine does not stall. If i try to drive it, I get no power from the accelerator and it hesitates almost as if it would stall but doesn't and the power comes back within a minute. If i let the car warm up, this problem does not occur. I would really appreciate your help on this.

Can be numerous things. First is the check eng light on. If it is I will need the codes that are in the computer. Second did you notice this after something was changed like a battery. I have a few thoughts but I would like you to respond to the above items.
