Nissan Repair: 2002 infinity i30 shuts off after cranking, mass airflow sensor, infinity i30

Question
I have a 2002 infinity i30 that once cranked wants to shut down, unless it is reved up and even then it is jerky and suddenly loses power.  If placed in reverse normally shuts down, and even dies right before acceleration from a dead stop.  Please help.

Answer
Brady,

First, check to make sure the spark plugs have been changed.  Then, check the idle air control valve and the air inlet tube from the mass airflow sensor to the throttle body.  Any unmetered air will cause the car to die after it is put in gear.  I have found loose clamps and cracked hoses.  So, check it out and email me back.  It is difficult to see from my end of the computer so I am giving you ideas from my own experiences.
