Nissan Repair: Cd player for 97 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, radio wires

My stock Cd Player stopped working so i cut it out and wired up a new cd player. I tried to follow a diagram but the cd player wont work properly. The cd player takes a cd and ejects a cd but that is it. The display only flashes for a short while before turning off. Have i wired it the wrong way?

Sounds like it and I would get a wiring diagram to make sure on the circuitry.  Check for the switched ignition and constant power.  Nissan uses a strange floating ground on one of the radio wires that turns into a ground when the key is off and power when it is on.
