Nissan Repair: 95 2.4 ALTIMA ENGINE WONT START, compression check, percent difference

Question
I PURCHASED THIS CAR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. ENGINE TURNS BUT ACTS LIKE THERES NO COMPRESSION. CAMS,PISTONS ALL MOVE AND IT IS GETTING FUEL AND SPARK.IT HAS NO OIL ON THE PLUGS. WHAT DO YOU THINK? THANKS

Answer
John,

Either it has jumped timing like the chain has slipped or there might be something with the computer not correctly firing the plugs at the proper time or the injectors.  First, do a compression check.  Should be somwhere between 120 and 140 psi with no more than ten percent difference between them.  If the compression is good check for engine codes and put the car on a scanner and see what the computer tells you.  Email me back with what you find.
