Nissan Repair: 86 720 z24 down shift missing, proper fuel, foot feet

when you are driving along at half speed and you step on the gas it misses and pops and bangs and if you go all the way down it will slow down and shift down and pop and bang and if you let back off it will take right off you can move the foot feet slowly down and you will get to a spot when it just stops and pops and bangs and if you let it come back a little bit it takes right off help thanks

I will assume that it has been tuned up?  New plugs, wires, cap and rotor?  If this has been done and the timing is within specifications I would think the fuel pressure is off.  Change the fuel filter and make sure it has proper fuel pressure.
