Nissan Repair: Re: Replacing a 2000 Nissan Maxima Positive battery cable, nissan maxima, wire connections

Question
I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima that I would like to replace the positive battery cable from the alternator to the battery.  Is there such a cable, or is there a group of cables that cannot be relaced?  Can't seem to find one ANYWHERE! Also, is there anyway to modify the terminal bracket(or just replace it)
so that I can use an aftermarket terminal instead?

Answer
Paul,

Nissan sells the cable and there are a couple of wires that go together for the positive side.  You could cobble one together but the factory one is much nicer.  Nissan also sells the terminal block and you can make your own wire connections to that as well.  I have always found the factory cable a much easier alternative.  Also, the wrecking yard is a good source as the Infiniti I30 will fit too...
