Nissan Repair: Nissan Sentra air conditioning 1996, nissan sentra, compressor clutch

Question
A/C fuse in engine compartment keeps blowing. It's the 7.5 fuse. I replace it and the A/C runs for a while, then blows the fuse again. Any ideas?

I would check the compressor relay and replace it first.  If that does not correct the problem check the auxillary fan that comes on when the compressor comes on.  If the fan is hard to turn with your hand it is probably what is overloading the circuit.  The compressor clutch usually does not overload the circuit and if it is defective it would have to be shorting to the compressor case and if it was doing that the compressor would not work.  So, check the relay first and then check the fan.  Email me back if you need more.
