Nissan Repair: air flow, nissan sentra, maf sensor

thanks von for helping me early however  i check the iac and took it off and clean  it i also  check the'-maf  sensor it seems to be ok  also and  howver i still have the same issue when i take off the black tube in which connects to the maf sensor the car idles and starts fine. however when i cut the car off and hook that black tube back up to it the car starts and shuts down and the idle drops.i was thinks on that 2001 nissan sentra  does it have a intake air sensor.would that cause my problem also sign puzzle

If the car will start with the hose off and dies when it is installed check the filter box for an obstruction.  I say this because you have checked the two things that would screw up and you say they are good.  You could have trash of something else blocking the air entering the filter box.  I have only seen this once where a plastic bac made it into the fenderwell and it blocked the air from getting in the filter box.
