Nissan Repair: Maxima 97 GLE electrical problem., intermittent problems, electrical problem

Question

Hi, I am a victim of Maxima electrical problem. Can anyone please help me from going to the dealer?
My maxima 97 stops while driving and all the lights on the dash bode dimes down. I checked the battery and had only 7 V. I have checked the Alternator and the Battery, both were good. My garage changed my battery with another old charged battery. Then it worked fine.
I had my battery charged and changed it back. It was working fine for about a month then the problem came back. If I boost it, It works fine for about half an hour.
Looks like my alternator is not charging the battery some times. Or some how the battery is losing charge.

Please Help. Please please please

Answer
Aminoor,

Sounds like you might have a defective battery with a cell shorting out or the alternator is not putting out enough voltage to keep the battery charged.  The only way to know for sure is to get it checked.  Go to Autozone or Checker and have them perform a free electrical check.  Since you would drive up and they would see how things are really working together.  Then, they will advise you as to which it is.  It is a pain, but intermittent problems, such as this, are difficult to diagnose.
