Nissan Repair: 1992 Nissan Pathfinder Dash lights wont turn on, nissan pathfinder, nissan dealer

My battery ran out last week and jumpstarted the car and it works fine now.  The only problem is that my dash lights (instrument cluster, ac controls, and transmission selector lights do not come on. I checked and replaced fuses and also replaced light dimmer swith to no avail.  I called nissan dealer and they suggested I pay them $89 to put it on a computer, but I don't want to pay that much.  What other options do I have?

A computer is not going to tell them anything.  They will have to back trace the harness like you could do yourself.  Get a test light and check the harness coming from the column to see if there is power to the circuit and if not work your way back to the fusebox.  But, do check all fuses first.  Probably the contact in the headlight switch fried from the voltage surge from getting jumped.
