i have a 1996 200 sx. 5 speed. when i turn on the air conditioner. it sometimes causes the vehicle to die both at a stop or while driving. when the air conditioner is off it drives fine. help...

I would think you need to do a tuneup to see what the condition of the engine is.  If the air control valve is not moving to speed up the idle, when the air is turned on, the engine will slow down and die.  I would check the air control valve.
