Hey,

I've been experiencing headlight problems with my '02 Altima for several months now.  I have replaced both headlamps individually over the past few months, but just the other day both headlights stopped functioning properly.  My brights work properly, as do the yellow lights.  It is only the main driving lights that fail to work.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

Replace the master switch and your problem should be resolved.  Nissan uses contacts in the headlight switch and they get corroded and fail.  Under $100 bucks at rockauto.com or check out courtesynissan.com and see what they have.  Just takes a phillips screwdriver and the steering wheel does not have to come off.  Just remove the cover and you will see the screws on the column that hold it on.
