Nissan Repair: 2000 Pathfinder Rotors, pin spanner wrench, auto supply stores

Question
I need to replace my frnt rotors on my 2000 Pathfinder.  I have read the Haynes manual, but I am not clear on the procedure and tool needed to remove/reinstall the "locknut".  they discuss using a "socket tool to engage the holes" instead of a basic pin spanner wrench due to the need to torque the nut to set bearing pre load.

none of the local auto supply stores seem to understand what tool i might need.... i've done brakes/bearings rotors on other vehicles, is this more complicated??
thanks in advance for any help.

Answer
Len,

If yours is a 4X4 then you will need to work around the large nut that holds the drive assembly on.  The best way is to get a Haynes Manual to show you a diagram.  Other than the large socket no other specialty tools are required.  And, if you are taking it a part install it the same way with the same load on the nut.  Do not over tighten.  You can feel the pre-load before you disassemble and install it feeling the same way.  You could go and get large torque wrench and load it per the manual if you like.
