Nissan Repair: 1991240sx starter, 240 sx, pep boys

My son has a 91 240 sx and we are having starter problems.We have replaced two so far and both have gone bad after one start,and each time we have it checked they don't work. Could there be a short in the wiring causeing it to burn the starter out.

Check the harness back to the battery and if the cable is good then I would get another starter from a different vendor as the one you are using is probably not too good.  I have experienced three starters from one auto parts store in the past and have gone to Pep Boys or Checker to save the misery of repeat replacements.
