Nissan Repair: 1995 altima(manual)2.4L, throttle position sensor, air control valve

my car starts fine.but after driving for a short distant and coming to a stop,tach drops to "0" and cuts off.however it cranks right up only to repeat itself

Sounds like the idle air control valve or the throttle position sensor.  I would clean the throttle body and check for proper operation of the throttle plate, idle air control valve and get a volt / ohm meter and check the throttle position sensor to make sure it is reading within limits.
