Nissan Repair: 1983 280zx, fuel pressure, fuel system

Question
my 1983 datsun280zx starts-runs fine.after it has been run a while and I shut it off, when I restart it,it idles roughly and I have to rev engine to keep it going. any ideas what problem might be? thanks

Answer
Gene,

Check the fuel pressure to see if you have injectors leaking after the engine has been run.  So, check the pressure when it runs fine and what it is doing when it has been run.  Also, it can be associated with the injectors and fuel system getting hot.  Some of the older 280ZX cars had blowers for the injectors to keep them cool.  If the pressure is fine and the injectors are not screwed up check the coil for voltage break down.  Again, check output when cold and then when hot.  Remember that the car gets hot when it is cut off before it cools down.
