Nissan Repair: 1993 Nissan Altima, mass airflow sensor, nissan altima

Question
My 93 Altima has recently started running really rough, as well as blowing black smoke and foulding out spark plugs left and right.  I was told it might be the distributor or ignition coil, so I replaced the distributor, ignition coil, plugs, wires, rotor button, & distributor cap.  It is still running really rough.  The OBD is giving codes 34 & 12.  I know that these codes are Mass Airflow Sensor & Knock Sensor.  Will this keep the car from running correctly?  Please Help

Answer
you bet.  maf and knock sensor are huge factors in your cars timing.  maf sends signals to your ECU on air and knock sensor controls your timing...thus the black smoke. considering you did a tune up when you probably didn't need to,  replace these 2 items and this car should run brand new (hopefully).  good luck with this and e-mail me your outcome.  xxp_sebby@yahoo.com :)
