Nissan Repair: Wiper motor?, windshield wipers, guessing game

Hi,
My windshield wipers are stopped in the up position. The motor works and the wipers move and clean the windshield when needed but when I turn them off they return to the up position again. Does the motor need to be replaced or is it something simpler than that?

this is the first case for me.  it sounds like your motor is the fault here.  its going a half cycle more after you turn off your wipers.  a replacement should solve this problem.   any scrapyard part will do.  it will save you money in the guessing game.  and if its not the motor then its your switch on the steering column.  you might even be able to have that thrown in the deal for free or real cheap.  good luck with this one!  email me your results.  xxp_sebby@yahoo.com
