Nissan Repair: check engine light, fuel injection cleaner, oxygen sensors

Question
I have a 96' Maxima with 108k miles and ever since I replaced the starter over 2 months ago the check engine light has remained on.  I had the malfunction light checked and it is one of the two front oxygen sensors.  I've been putting in premium fuel along with fuel injection cleaner but the light still remains on.  Now, the check engine light has come on before and it was the oxygen sensor, and premium fuel seemed to do the trick.  Is there a way to reset the light without going to a mechanic?  What else can I do without having to replace the oxygen sensor(s), to get the light off?
Thanks.

Answer
Mark,

You could disconnect the battery to clear the codes.  But, the oxygen sensors are failing due to the age of them.  I would replace the sensors as it is not that difficult.  Remember that they are supposed to be replaced around 50K miles so you have over twice that so it would be a good idea to change them.  But, disconnecting the battery for five minutes should do the trick until they come on again.
