Nissan Repair: air condiditioning, musty smell, lysol

I have a 87 pathfinder that had a blocked ac drain - What is the resistor in the eveaporator housing for? - I cannot get rid of the musty smell and there is no leaks -

The resistor is for the blower motor speeds.  The musty smell can be removed by purchasing a cleaner product from a parts stor elike NAPA or other store that provides parts to professionals.  The smell is mold from the water standing in the case before the drain was opened.  I have even seen people spray lysol into the intake under the dash where the blower sucks air in on recycle.  Be sure not to smell the air coming out of the vents for a few minutes as it really is strong.
