Nissan Repair: 98 nissan pathfinder, nissan pathfinder, rear shocks

Question
For several months my pathfinder rocks from side to side doing 50-55 mph on the open road.  Have put in two times and they checked sway, track bar alignment and were not able to figure out the problem.. The truck has about 150,000 miles. The only thing they suggested was to replace the rear shocks but they didn't think that was the problem  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Pat,

Have the tires checked for out of round and the suspension checked for loose components.  Shocks should not cause this problem but an anti-sway bar that has rotten bushings or a broken end link could.  Stranger things that I have found are the leaf spring bushings being worn.
